Safety First!

Safety and Incident Response Waiver

We’re all about making your dog’s day out full of fun, adventure, and wagging tails! We do everything we can to keep every pup safe and happy, but sometimes, nature has its own plans. This waiver helps us all stay on the same page about the little surprises that can happen during our outdoor adventures.

Your Dog and Minor Injuries:

At Pat The Dog, the safety and well-being of every dog in our care is our top priority. In the event of minor injuries—such as small cuts, scratches, or grass seed exposure—our team will provide prompt, appropriate first aid to prevent further complications. Treatment decisions will be made at the discretion of our experienced veterinary nurse.

Owners will be informed of any such incidents and the care provided upon the dog’s return.

Please note that Pat The Dog is not liable for, nor will it cover, any costs associated with treatment or follow-up care. By using our services, the owner acknowledges and accepts that despite our best efforts and safety protocols, minor injuries may occasionally occur during outdoor activities.

Your Dog and Major Injuries:

In case of an emergency, we will transport your dog to the nearest vet clinic or emergency clinic depending on the severity. We will attempt to contact the nominated emergency contact via phone on the way. At this stage, we expect the owner or nominated emergency contact to attend the clinic and relieve staff. If the injury involves another dog or person, we will make every reasonable effort to obtain their contact details for follow-up Please note that Pat The Dog is not liable for, nor will it cover, any costs associated with treatment or follow-up care

If your dog goes missing while on a walk:

We continuously monitor your dog both on and off lead, with our smaller pack sizes allowing us to maintain close supervision. However, uncontrollable factors such as sudden weather changes, unexpected sounds, wildlife, or other distractions may cause your dog to temporarily leave the pack. In such an event, we will search for up to 15 minutes. If your dog is not located within this time, we will consider them lost and contact the nominated emergency contact. It is expected that the owner or nominated emergency contact will respond and attend within a reasonable time frame.

If your dog causes injury to another dog:

Even the most well-behaved dogs have their days due to uncontrollable external factors. If your dog causes injury to another dog, you may be liable to cover some or all of the treatment costs.

Assessing your dog’s suitability for pack walking:

Providing detailed information in your enquiry helps us determine whether our service is suitable for your dog, and whether we are a good fit for each other. However, the best way to understand your dog’s personality is during the initial meeting. If, for any reason, we find that our service isn’t the right match for your dog, we will inform you following the first session.
